Winter Wonderland & Poor Guineas!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
This picture may look black & white, but it's color. This is what we woke to, and it will snow all day into tomorrow morning. There's lots more snow to come. Schools and many other things canceled around here, it's pretty quiet. Noah's ready to head out and do some shoveling, and the pups are running around like crazy in the snow. I hope the 'Let it snow' song is a decent one, I cannot hear it. Since I got my computer back, I have no sound. I'll have to see what I can do about that!

I let the guinea hens out this morning, and they flew right to the rack on DH's truck. They've been there for awhile now, they just don't know what to do with the snow.

When we go out to shovel, we'll have to shoo them off the truck. They might as well go back inside the shed! There certainly aren't any ticks or bugs to munch on all day outside. Poor guineas!

I just heard a noise outside the office window. There are three guineas perched on the porch roof below my window. Where the other two are, I don't know. Noah tried to throw a snowball at them, to get them down, but the snow is light and fluffy and it didn't work. I must go find a way, I don't want that to be a habit for them!

Our beautiful winter wonderland that I awoke to yesterday is now a big sloppy mess thanks to the overnight rain and the pineapple express that we are experiencing. Sucks! 2 out of 3 kids fell down this morning while waiting for the bus. It is icy and they were soaked. I sent them to school anyway and told them to change when they got there. What a great Mom, eh? Perhaps, Mom of the Year?

So beautiful.... I want to come play in the snow. I miss it! I haven't had a White Christmas since.... I was a little girl I think.

Yup... it is pretty snowy over at your end just like it is in Montreal. Isn't it great?
PS: Husband added some water with my watering can to make the snow sticker.

Isn't it gorgeous outside! I love to have a white Christmas - then the snow can leave! I guess that wouldn't be much fun for the kids who receive sleds for Christmas, though. Back roads were still kind of slippery this morning, but not bad now. Glad to hear you found all of the guineas!

Funny story. Our bf's who also just happened to adopt from China just got 4 guineas! Lol. I laughed out loud thinking of you...... She said they are the funniest creature. We are celebrating Channakuh with them on Saturday and I'm hoping to get a glimpse of the fury critters then.

Okay! I've searched your blog and answered some of my own questions. You DID house the guineas during the winter. How are they doing now? If I search again will I answer that question, too? We shall see!
