When they're quiet...

DH is out of town for a few days. Things have gone well, for the most part. Tonight I was sitting in the office chatting with him, when Diesel came in the room. I couldn't help but notice his color was different... he was more of a gray/white rather than his usual dark brindle. He smelled very good, too. Hmmm.... I looked around the corner to the upstairs bathroom. I could see Sophia (see top pic) standing there, shaking the powder container, upside down, for all she was worth. Being a hard-core blogger, I grabbed my camera, and gave DH the play by play over the phone. She was happy to pose with the empty powder container. Did I mention it was a brand new, full powder container? Was.

Oh my.

I did find her shirt amongst the powder, and after cleaning the bathroom (again, I had just cleaned it!) I cleaned the chocolate ice cream off her face. I left the powder between her toes. I didn't bother touching the puppy, though. In fact, he smells better than ever, and I may just make that scented powder part of the pup's daily routine.

p.s. I weighed Diesel at the pet store today... the 7 month pup is 87 lbs. Maggie will not cooperate and get on the scale, so her weight is a mystery.

well Ms Sophia has come over to the other side lately! another mess... I am impressed!
Caitlyn loves the powder too... We have had it all shook out several times. The grout in my powder room has powder in it, I would have to get on my hands and knees and scrub a long time I think, so I keep avoiding it hoping it will wear away...

She can't be a stinker when she's so powder fresh, right?
Too funny.

ROTFL, because for once it's not Thelma and Louise. LOL :D
Sophia's expression is priceless, as far as Diesel it looks as if it didn't faze him in the least. LOL
Should try the powder trick on my stinky boy.
Sophie, looks like your an official member of the Messy maude club, Jen and Jill officially welcome you with a little snicker. :D

That is so cute! Now anyway...since you already cleaned up the mess :). Yes, silence can be a sign of big trouble ahead.
Diesel is going to be a ginormous pooch!
Great to hear from you.

ha ha ha!! I'm grinning from ear to ear. She is so cute. Never thought of sprinkling the dog with baby powder. Thanks for the tip...Even if it wasn't "your" idea. *wink*.

OMG! I am laughing. AC did this a few weeks too, but to our cat. Sofie's mess is a little bigger. I didn't think to get the camera! You win the prize for thinking of the blog! I needed a good laugh! Thank you. I didn't find the humor when it was in my own bathroom. ;)
I bet the dog does smell better.

I love how inquisitive your Sophia is! Glad she shared her joy with Diesel! I might have to try powder to get our pups smelling clean as a baby too!!

Poor Diesel. He'll have to go roll in something stinky to make him comfortable. Mom

You should enter Diesel in the powder PUP derbey. Mom

Sorry I misspelled derby. Mom

Well now, you handled that a lot better than I would have. I tend to "over react" at thinks like that. I would have grabbed my camera after fussing though.
