Kids Say the Darndest Things...

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at PhotobucketI'm calling this meme - 'Kids Say the Darndest Things!'.

You know what I'm talking about... something they said in public that made you turn 3 shades of red... something they came up with at the dinner table... or at the grandparents house...

Maybe you laughed, maybe you cried... share it with us! Post at your blog, and link here.

Here's mine - from a few days ago.

Looks like I've figured out the link thing, click below. Please let me know what you think, do our kiddos come up with enough good ones to do this weekly? If so, what day of the week do you think would be the best? Please comment and let me know, thanks!

I don't have any kids to quote.

My sisters say my nephews say funny things all the time, but I live 2500 miles away and don't get to hear them.

I do remember two. Both are from my youngest sister's youngest son.

My youngest sister is a football fanatic. FANATIC! She has groomed her kids to like it too. She is also very opinionated about which teams to support.

One evening when C was about 4?, he, his older brother, and my sister were playing a board game and apparently one of the boys had gas. My sister asked, "who stinks?" and without missing a beat, C replied, "the Dallas Cowboys". (sorry to any Cowboys fans!, but in OUR family, that was a hilarious response).

My sis can also have a bit of a temper. They were driving along one day when C was about 8 and there was some type of commotion going on in another car. The driver was very aggressive and obviously very upset. C pipes up from the backseat, "Gee Mom, that lady has stole your attitude." My sis said she laughed and cringed at the same time.

Ian love to read the movie ratings ~ I am still not sure why ~ as I don't get the entertainment value myself. Well, we went to see Shrek 3 with another mom and her two kids (this mom is my academic writing partner) and Ian pops up and says something that Shrek 3 is loaded with sexual inuendos and the "little" kids won't get the "real humor" of the movie. We both look at him and he says ~~~ What?~~~ I ask him if he knows what a sexual inuendo is, and he relplies, "Mom, that not an approiate conversation with the little kids here." Okay, he knows what they are.
